Warranty and Testing

Here at topshop.ae we understand batteries, and sometimes they don’t work the way they were made too. All batteries we sell come with an extended warranty, making it a safe and convenient choice whether you are a first-time purchase, upgrading your current battery or simply replacing it.

With these few steps, you can help diagnose if your battery needs to be tested by our warranty department.

1.Please check if the battery connects to your laptop properly.

2.Please install the new battery on another compatible laptop or use other compatible original adapter to charge the new battery to check the battery is ok or not.

3.Please try to update the BOIS version or change the power options.

4.Please try to check if there is some software that prevents your notebook from using aftermarket batteries.

Please install your new battery in the correct way. Use the laptop with the adapter disconnected until the laptop turns off on its own. Then use the original adapter to charge the new battery for 24 hours. Please do the charging and discharging process several times

Measure charging times to know it’s getting enough charge.
Look at the charger itself, does it seem hot.
Does the battery look swollen/sunny after charging?
If you have tried the above and still feel like contacting us about reserving your battery for testing, our Warranty Department will be happy to assist you with this. Please email us at service@topshop.ae and do the following:

Make a note of your unique warranty reference number which you will need to keep and display for future reference.
If you have a charger, make sure the battery is fully charged before sending. This will speed up the process and allow us to evaluate your claim more quickly.
Pack the battery carefully, remembering to include your unique reference number and send it to:
Wait for us to contact you. We aim to test your battery within three working days, but please allow up to a week for us to get back to you as additional testing time may be needed.
